A Fitness Professional with a difference
With a desire to help people of all shapes and sizes, ages and backgrounds, Fletch’s personal journey transformed into a full time passion for improving individuals’ health, fitness and well-being.
Sport and fitness has long been an integral part of his life – commencing his extensive senior AFL career as a 15-year-old for Hamilton Imperials Football Club within the Western Border Football League. Following premiership success and numerous individual awards, Fletch relocated to the Northern Territory joining the Nightcliff Football Club in 1981.
Fletch was then recruited to the SANFL club Glenelg where he played for two seasons.
Fletch’s most impressive role of his football career was his stint as Captain/Coach for the North Gambier Football Club, which saw him lead the team to win two premierships and play in many final games while also taking out the league best and fairest award.
Fletch moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2008 where he coached the Noosa Tigers to two senior premierships and remains involved as an assistant coach.
Fletch has also enjoyed Masters AFL, travelling Australia-wide to compete in annual championships. In 2002, Fletch represented Australia in the AFL hybrid, Gaelic Football for the AFL Masters in Ireland which saw him win the trophy for Player of the Series.
Throughout his extensive football career, Fletch has both played and coached at a representative and league level, not only earning him accreditation as a Level III AFL Coach, but earning him a high level of respect due to his dedication, motivation, team commitment, strong attitude and varied coaching approach.
Fletch began to further develop his passion for health and fitness, becoming a qualified personal trainer, pilates instructor and weight loss coach. As a motivator and mentor, this move was a natural progression and allowed Fletch to utilise his skills in order to help individuals improve and strengthen their health, fitness and overall quality of life.
Noosa will always be Fletch’s home, he’s trained hundreds of people and is well connected in local business, sporting and community circles. Fletch says Noosa is one of the most beautiful places in Australia, where the climate is fantastic and the perfect place to do what he is truly passionate about. Noosa’s climate encourages outdoor training;
“There is nothing I like more than beginning my day hearing the sound of the ocean, seeing the sun shining, and having the opportunity to share my skills and experience to help others to recognise and reap the rewards of a healthy, active lifestyle.”
